What Veritess collects, and why it is so little.
This policy explains what Veritess collects and why. We aim to collect as little as possible.
We set no tracking or advertising cookies. What we do set is limited to making the Service work: a session cookie once you sign in, and a cookie remembering your language. Your report inputs and your theme choice are kept in your browser's local storage and never leave your device on their own.
We use your data to provide and improve the Service and to reply to you. We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with processors needed to run the Service (for example, email or hosting providers), under appropriate agreements.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including password hashing and encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep account data (name, email, business type, hashed password) for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove this data within 30 days, except where we must retain limited information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Report inputs stored only in your browser's local storage are under your control and are removed when you clear your browser storage.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, including your account — write to us and we will delete it. Because report inputs are stored locally in your browser, clearing your browser storage removes them from this device.
When you contact us with a request to access, correct, or delete your data, we will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will let you know within that period and may take up to an additional 45 days. To protect your account, we may ask you to confirm your identity (for example, by replying from the email address on file) before completing a deletion or access request.
If we decline a request, you may appeal the decision by replying to our response or writing to us at [email protected] with "Appeal" in the subject line. We will respond to your appeal within 45 days.
We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised your privacy rights.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
